Vivo X20, X20 Plus smartphones launched in China

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of Vivo X20 and X20 Plus smartphones. The smartphones will come in Gold, Rose Gold and Matte Black colour options and will go on sale in the country starting September 30. The company has priced the X20 at 2998 yuan for the 64GB version and the special edition 128GB version costs 3398 yuan. On the 

other hand, the Vivo X20 Plus comes with a price tag of 3498 yuan.

The Vivo X20 and X20 Plus run Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system topped with the FunTouch UI. The smartphones are powered by an octa-core QualcommSnapdragon processor with Adreno 512 GPU. Both devices offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The Vivo X20 also has another storage variant of 128GB.



The duo comes with dual rear camera setup. Both the smartphones sport a 12MP+5MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS and LED flash. There is also a 12MP front facing camera with soft LED flash and f/2.0 aperture in both the smartphones.


The devices come with hybrid dual SIM functionality and flaunt a metal body design. In terms of connectivity options the smartphones offer 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.


The only difference between the two is of the battery and display size. The Vivo X20 comes with a 6.01-inch Full HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and is backed by a 3425mAh battery. On the other hand, the Vivo X20 Plus features a 6.43-inch full HD+ with 18: 9 aspect ratio and packs a 3905mAh battery with fast charging.

Samsung tips best quarterly profit in over three years as chips soar

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd forecast on Friday its best quarterly profit in more than three years in the January-March period, beating expectations and putting it on track for record annual earnings on the back of a memory chip super-cycle.
